  • Senior Expert Aero- and Thermodynamics at Bombardier Transportation, 17 years (1999-2016)

Example experiences 

  • Involved in the design, development and testing of the very high speed trains CRH380D (China) and ETR1000-V300ZEFIRO (Italy).
  • Further developing design for pressure tightness; theory, application and successful implementation verified in on-track tests.
  • Techical leader of EU FP7 Railway Aerodynamic research project AeroTRAIN (www.triotrain.eu) from application to successful completion.
  • Work package leader in extended DeuFraKo project Aerodynamics in Open Air (AOA). Topics ballast projection phenomena and cross wind safety. 
  • Expert support within tunnel aerodynamics for Banverket (2005-2010).
  • Member of European standardization working group CEN TC256 WG6 - Aerodynamics (2000-2004)
  • Botniabanan (2001): part of a cross-functional group of experts developing a procedure to asses cross wind safety.
  • Initiated and supervised several Master thesis works (topics including cross wind, ballast projection, tunnel aerodynamics, shape optimization and traction motor cooling).
  • Lecture on Railway Aerodynamics within course "Järnvägssystem och Spårfordon" at KTH (2012, 2014, 2016)


  • Consultant Fluid Mechanics at Frontec Research & Technology, 1 year (1998-1999)

  • Post-graduate degree Licentiate of Engineering in Fluid Mechanicsat Royal institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden (two years at James Cook University, Townsville, Australia). Thesis title: CFD Analysis of Sugar Crystallization.
  • Master of Science within Fluid Mechanics, at Royal institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden. Thesis title: FLOW3D Applications for Transonic Flow in Turbines
